Description
This 35 micron red Calcium Sulfide is the deepest glowing red pigment available on the market. A light red, almost peach, daytime color gives way to rich tones of blood red after being exposed to a light source. What makes this pigment so unique is the fact that it charges faster than any other pigment we sell and can be charged using any type of light, UV or otherwise. A few seconds under a standard flashlight is enough to excites the pigment to it's luminous state. The glow fades quickly but the instant charge time makes it a favorite among anglers for fishing jigs and lures.
Please note: due to the chemical composition of this pigment it has a VERY strong sulfur odor; that of rotten eggs! Please bare this in mind before selecting this pigment for your project. In some cases (ie. Jig making with powder paint, casting pigment in resin or plastic, etc.) the odor will subside because it is encased in a medium. Paints, glycol mixtures, or any other liquid mediums, however, tend to take on the odor of the pigment and in some cases amplify it.
